Dr. Salome Musau is a lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Kenyatta University's School of Business. She holds a PhD and a Master's in Finance, along with a BED in Mathematics and Business Studies, all from Kenyatta University. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, K) and member of ICPAK, Dr. Musau specializes in financial inclusion, microfinance, and entrepreneurial finance. She has published numerous articles in international journals and participated in many research conferences. Notably, she secured a National Research Fund of Kenya grant in 2017 and a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant in 2020.
In addition to her academic and research roles, Dr. Musau serves as the Programmes Coordinator for the School of Business, Economics, and Tourism at Kenyatta University's City Campus. She has also been the Examinations Coordinator, Digital Coordinator, and Timetable Coordinator for her department. Dr. Musau is deeply committed to community service, coordinating charity and disaster response efforts, and training in financial literacy and management. She supervises multiple PhD and Master's theses in finance and accounting, contributing significantly to student success and academic excellence.
