The Kenyatta University Business Students Association (KUBSA), held the Women in Business and Leadership Conference on 20th November 2024 at the Business and Students Services Centre (BSSC) under the theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Leaders”. The conference aimed to inspire and empower female students by providing an opportunity to learn from accomplished leaders in business and leadership. The first session was moderated by Ms. Florence Achala - Vice President of the Kenyatta University Student Council and it focused on leadership in male-dominated fields, the qualities required to succeed as a leader, and strategies for overcoming challenges faced by women leaders. The panelists were: Hon. Michael Collins, CEO of P&G, Ms. Sandra Njagi - Lead Export Sales at Isuzu East Africa. The second session which was moderated by Ms. Maryanne Njenga, a KUBSA alumnus, delved into entrepreneurship and business strategies. The panelists were: Dr. Naomi Kagone - Chairperson, KNCCI Murang’a Chapter, Hon. Anthony Buluma - CEO of Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA) and Dr. Regina Gathoni Mwatha - Project Leader, KU-WEE Hub.
