GOALS/OBJECTIVES OF MSAKU

  • To provide a medium for the interaction of all those interested in marketing and enhance networking.
  • To go one step beyond the classroom, in terms of learning what marketing really constitutes by organizing speakers, field trips and social interaction between students and faculty.
  • To connect the students throughout their education in and out of the classroom and provide marketing students with an opportunity to expose themselves for a career in marketing
  • To bring marketing majors together in a social setting
  • To promote togetherness among members of the club in order to create fun atmosphere
  • To serve the community through various organized service activities that mutually benefits both members and community.
  • To operate the club on a sound financial basis of profit, to increase value for our members and create career opportunities and financial rewards for our members through scholarships.
  • To encourage and develop every idea that will help in improving one’s knowledge in the area of business in general, especially marketing.
  • To be an experiential based club for Kenyatta university students, which encompasses all facets of marketing that solicits services to the Kenyatta university community and surrounding area business.

 

MSAKU CLUB ACTIVITIES

  • Participating in Professional talks and conferences that are marketing oriented.
  • Going for Academic trips and field trips in order to visit various organizations and learn from them
  • Speaker series activities
  • Organizing and participating in internship opportunities and activities.
  • Promoting and organizing social events and interaction in order to foster togetherness and fun atmosphere.
  • Working closely with the Kenyatta University fraternity to promote the good name and image of Kenyatta University through marketing related tasks ( e.g products and services).
  • Liaising and working with other clubs to improve on ideas and benefit not only as a club but also as students of Kenyatta University.
  • Serving the community as a whole. For instance, through participating in community work and projects.
  • Team-building activities.
